May Hill village is a scattered village sitting on the slopes of May Hill and has approximately 143 houses. May Hill itself is a historic rounded hill which can be seen for many miles in all directions, having an easily recognised clump of trees at the summit.
All Saints church started its life as a Mission Room back in 1879, attached to the Taynton Parish church. It became a church in 1917 when a sanctuary was added and dedicated by the Bishop of Gloucester. In 1936 the church was transferred from Taynton to become the daughter church of St John the Baptist, Huntley.
All Saints church is a pretty rectangular building accommodating around 60 people, with a small chancel, a vestry at the rear and boasts one bell. There is a pleasant churchyard which delights in producing many wildflowers including spotted orchids and twayblades in the Spring.
There is a weekly 9.30am Sunday service comprising Holy Communion on the 2nd Sunday of the month, Morning Worship on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month and a service led by members of the congregation on the 4th Sunday of the month. All are welcome to all of our services and the May Hill congregation are warm and welcoming.
